is a fucking masterpeice. It’s my favorite thing Emma Stone has ever done. This has changed my entire opinion of Jonah Hill. I can’t stop laughing.
I am not a fan of Owen, but I feel that that’s intentional–these are not likeable characters (though it’s hard not to like Emma Stone in anything, admittedly; though La La Land was so insufferably white I couldn’t get past the second minute and still will never see that shitshow). Jonah plays this unlikeability and awkward narcissism to a fault, and he still manages to make it work.
Also, Sally Field. That’s all.
Also, the orientalist racism of the show is pretty gross.
